Over stad

Jūrmala located between the Lielupe River and the Gulf of Riga. It is the fifth-largest city in Latvia and has a white-sand beach with a length of 33 kilometers (21 miles).

Long beaches that face the Gulf of Riga and romantic Art Nouveau-style wooden houses make Jūrmala a popular tourist destination.

In reality, the city of Jūrmala is made up of a series of small resorts. These include Ķemeri, Jaunemeri, Sloka, Kauguri, Vaivari, Mellui, Pumpuri, Jaundubulti, Dubulti, Majori, Dzintari, Bulduri, and Lielupe, among others, from west to east.

Jomas street (Jomas iela), one of Jūrmala's main and oldest streets, is a popular spot for dining and walking after a day at the beach.

There are playgrounds for children of all ages, walking and roller-skating paths, a skatepark, a streetball court, and cafés in the Dzintaru mežaparks. The park is open throughout the year. You can go cross-country skiing in the winter. Play sports, spend time with friends and family, and take in the fresh air of the pine forest!

The Jūrmala resort hotels provide a wide range of SPA services and are ideal for combining restful relaxation with medical care. In order to choose the best vacation option, we suggest that you keep an eye on the most recent deals from spas and hotels.

The traditional Resort Festival in Jūrmala lasts all day to mark the start of summer. The "Ice Cream Festival," the international street dance competition "Ghetto Dance Hardcore Battle," a variety of concerts, and a festive procession are all on offer.

Even though everyone knows about Jūrmala, very few people have visited the Open-Air Museum, which is the city's hidden gem. It's hard to believe that just a few decades ago, Jrmala was a fishing village. We recommend going for a walk in the nearby Ragakāpa Nature Park, which has a particularly stunning pine forest, after visiting the museum.

The most popular sight in Ķemeri National Park lets you meet the bog and its inhabitants. Walking along the boardwalks of the Great Emery Bog Trail is an unforgettable experience. We recommend that you visit the Sulphur Ponds and inhale the unusual scent if you have walked the Great Emery Bog trail.

One of Latvia's largest heritage sites of historical wooden architecture can be found in Jūrmala. There are 103 national and 295 local architectural monuments here that are worth taking a walk to admire. We recommend traveling along Jūras iela, which is home to one of the most stunning houses.

Add a concert to your vacation plans at Dzintari Concert Hall, where you can see ballet, choir, symphonic music, or another type of performance.
